In The Great Wide Open..

..as Tom Petty sings in a song are real where I come from! Just check out my views when running.

Apologies for not having signed almost one month. It has gone up for the body but sometimes it has become a small dip, but, as I said, on the whole, it is an upward, positive trend which I am very happy and grateful.

When I train strength and my running workout I have started to cheer me with music by the group Two Steps From Hell. Ironically, a pretty good name for a group after what I went through last year. Not to mention the songs with names like: Victory, Never Back Down, Stronger Faster Braver and Ultra Ground
A favorite is the Flight of the Silverbird". Just click the link and enjoy!

Abuout "Two steps from hell"...
This is the tower called "Kastalen" from the latin word of "defense".
It´s  from about 1170 and I almost can see it from my house.
A great run in about -15°C with some refugees.
Running full of joy and lactic!

I run nowadays Wednesday-Sunday and rests Monday and Tuesday. Strength training 4 times per week and then only with my body-weight. It begins not only be marked on the body in the form of muscles, but also when running.

I do not have the same condition as before yet but the strength is there I think.
For the moment, I have a small soreness in the ankle of the left foot but it´s becoming better and better. After a mile I feel nothing, but I'm careful not to run too hard and "listening" to what the body conveys to me :-)
A beautiful Saturday morning when the sun is about to rise.
Love it!
Me and the nice horses I saw in my Saturday morning.
So great animals I think!
I also saw a dozen mighty bulls who always use to mooing when passing by.
Love You friends!
Another great view where I come from.
When passing by the place where the last decapitation in Brunflo was performed I never smile.
It was September 7, 1835 and his name was Per Engvall...

Sunday, January 29 and it felt really good in the body so I decided to run j an hour and a half on the snowmobile trails in the forest. So peaceful and quiet up there even if I met a guy on a snowmobile who stopped for a small chat. Thank´s for that friend :-)
From todays lovely trail-run and it felt pretty good.
Almost always I see marks from all kind of animals when out running.
Today some tracks from moose :-)
On the part of the trail, there are quite old storage house. What if they could talk and tell what they have seen and experienced through the years..
A run is so much more than just a run!
The Great Wide Open!
Once again, never forget to smile! Dare to say Hello! to both strangers and those who are not. Try to "peek around a few corners" when you are out and it will be a great day for everyone!

2017...

...and another 365 days to take care of!
Not much of winter here as it use to be...
Well, but this day was nice though! :-)
Ok, what do I mean by that "take care of" in the beginning of this text? Just what I´m writing I´ll say!
The time is running and will never come back to us so try to take care of it in the very best way friends! Things go so fast from the top to the bottom, which seems so negative.
Well, I can say it goes quite fast from the bottom to the top too so just go out there and try your best to do all that great stuff you´ve got inside yourself.

Let the dreams come true!

The road in my Paradise!
One of many roads where I come from
Ok, I have been a little injured for a couple of weeks. Not bad but a little muscle-strain in my left calf. Rest and some Aloe Vera and it´s almost ok now.

While not able to run I do a lot of other things instead. Strength for example. I do push-ups, sit-ups, back and calf-exercises (push-ups in stairs on toe).
I also have been able to use my x-trainer without any problem. So, yes I have been sweating alright!

The x-trainer is perhaps my "best friend" now and the pilates-ball is number two I think. Great tools when doing strength.

Pilates ball is a great tool to use when doing strength-exercise!
I have a big goal 2017 and that is a +100 mile run to my cottage up in the mountains of Härjedalen. 2016-01-01 I had to go to the emergency room at Östersund Hospital due to kidney stone attack. Almost a year ago now.
So from an almost negative level, I've been fighting me back to the races again. I still am not back to 100 % again but on my way though.

To make that +100 mile race I have som smaller goals by the way.
  • In April 2017 I will try a 6h-race
  • June 3 I will run my 11th marathon in Stockholm
  • Probably help the team of refugees in the St.Olavs-race (relay)
  • "cruise controller" in a half-marathon. (2 hours I think)
  • The +100 mile to the mountains
The little church up in the mountains where the goal for my +100-mile project are located.
Normally I do not go out with my project before I do them, but now I have made an exception to show that it is possible to come back from zero.. I will give you the route later summer 2017.

Remember that almost nothing is impossible! It´s just about some other roads to get there :-)
"Happiness is not a destination.
It is a way of life!"
As usual keep smiling, dare to say Hello! to strangers and look around the corners!

Always run Easy, Light and Smooth!
