43 days left...

... and it feels like I'm back to normal. At least with my running! Today Adam and Elton (the dogs) woke me up at 06:00, as usual, so it was impossible to sleep any longer anyway.
Well, we ate breakfast and then I walked the dogs for a while before I went out for my first run this day. Will probably do a short run at noon with Elton too :-)

I was thinking of a 2h run and I was out 2:02:35 h which is ok! I started my run at 7:08 AM and passed by several nice views on the run. It was about 57F and no wind. Little cloudy but the sun started to break thru after only a couple of miles. Todays run was on everything from gravel road, redwoods and some asphalt. I choose a pair of ASICS that's 10 years old. Very #ELS shoes I'll say!

Nice view from todays run. Down there is The Great Lake...
Beautiful views makes the run fun!
Sometimes there's only a small path over a field.
Partly the run goes on redwood.
But mostly the run goes on roads like this.
Remark the water of the lake! Like a mirror...
An older variant of the cows here in the north.
It's called "Fjällko" in Swedish (Fjäll cattle).
I also met some sheep that followed me a bit :-)

At noon, after cutting the lawn and some other things in or garden me and Elton went out for run #2. This time not so long but it felt quite good though :-) We did 2 mile X-trail first and then about 2 more mile at asphalt. Well, a nice run and all together I did about 16 mile today and felt good.

Tomorrow is a new day with new opportunities and new runs! Met som people on this run and we said Hello and Smiled!

44 days left...

... and today some of my pupils did take their exams! Congratulations to all of You!
Lunch with graduate students on Lit's homestead.
Busy morning but now it's much cooler. Was on a hanker to neighbors who's daughter did graduate today. Lot of nice food! Thank's friend and congratulations to Matilda! :-)
I also did have some nice chats with some friends about running :-)

Did take Elton for a short run this evening, after the nice hanker. Not long but I ran though! Will run a little longer for four nice days now! Tomorrow, June 6th, we celebrate the Swedish National Day and then Friday is free. Saturday and Sunday we're always free so it means four days of now which means a lot of running!

Todays run with Elton was not long but it doesn't matter that much really. The thing is I feel great and I'm injury-free! I also see Stockholm Marathon as my big test before my 140 mile run, The Run, in just 44 days. Remember when there was 243 days left to my run around the lake... Crazy it's only 44 days left now. Well, the training has gone excellent and perhaps my muscle strain was meant to be because then I had to rest a little and catching up both physically and mentally. Sometimes injuries might be great :-)
Happiness!

Well, met a lot of people to say Hello and Smile to today. Nice!

Easy, Light and Smooth friends!

48-45 days left...

... and so much things to do there wasn't no time left fot blogging! Well, I will give you all a resum of the weekend at least :-)

48 days left...
Weather seemed to be great with sun a little clouds and a temperature about 68F. Perfect I think but when running they say about 59F is the best. Well, the most important was to run and finish the marathon together with Ingrid this, the Saturday of her life.
Here comes a link with information about our race. Just click on our names and there are photos and film clips. The clips are fun!

Just look for: Me in a yellow running-shirt with black, short, arms. I also wear a black/yellow cap. Here's a picture of us at the finish-line. Ingrid wear a purple linen and a white cap.

Me to the left and Ingrid to the right!
It's easier to find us in the clips if you know what we look like :-)
So just click this link to see us run :-) Have joy and fun!
Well, a little excited perhaps!
Time to drop clothing!
Friends from my running club. Ingrid in the upper left.
At the starting line and wonder: "Dad, what am I doing here!?
Here a picture of us when running!
Ingrid in #ELS-style... :-)

Here at half-marathon! Still going very strong!
At 30K it start to rain a little. Nice!
Struggling on!

...and "Left, Right, Left, Right..." ;-)
Just 400m left and so FOCUSED!

(Ingrid is in the middle with her white cap)

I DID IT!
A happy daughter who just reached the finish-line!
She also has a proud father :-)
Day after the race with the great medal!
The medal with a part of Stockholm.
Every year a new image!
It was a great run and an amazing marathon, as always, down in Stockholm! The most amazing though was not only the time, 4:27:08. I must say the achievement to run first half in 2:12 and the second in 2:15 is just awesome!
Here is Ingrid's splits every 5K.
Just great!
Me and my body felt just great and no problem at all with my muscle-strain. Happy!

Well, the day ended with a great dinner with our running-club at Scandic Park Hotel, Stockholm. And... The Swedish Soccer Team arrived!! :-) And so did... Well, see below friends!
Surprise of the evening..... ZLATAN!!
(The guy to the right)
During the Stockholm Marathon there was a lot of people to say Hello and Smile to! Don't forget...

Today I was out running with Elton and it felt very good in my legs. Nice! The shape perhaps is quite ok after all :-) So inspired to run now and soon I got summer-vacation which means I can run a lot more :-)

45 days left...
Blog-writing today! No run. Have to fix for pupils exam tomorrow. A lot of things to do... Raining! No fun weather to do exams in. Hope for better tomorrow!
I also will start to write every day again but sometimes it's harder to write than to run I think! ;-)

Never forget to say Hello and Smile a little. It's much more fun in life then! :-)

49 days left...

... and I'm preparing for Stockholm Marathon with my daughter. Nice weather and quite hot but tomorrow it might be a little rain and about 60-61F. Perfect!

It has been a very busy day with registration, shopping picture-taking, pasta party etc. Last time I ran in Stockholm was 2010 I think so it's really nice being here again. Use to meet a lot of running-friends which is fun.

No, I haven't forgot my other cause, The Run! Only 49, soon 48, days ahead from now. Still look forward to it and almost longing for it. The marathon tomorrow will be a perfect "restart" of the training and now, when not injured anymore, I must say the 4 weeks of less running and active rest has been both nice and been doing miracle to my body. Resting is a good exercise so people out there! Dare resting!

Ok, once again it's late (23:) so I have to go to bed now! But first I will give you all the picture of the day.

Tomorrow  I will take pics and short filmclips to out out on Twitter! No text just pics! :-)
Me and Ingrid just outside the Olympic Arena from 1912

50 days left...

... and perhaps I can have a little celebration then! 50 days left now and I feel just great and really look forward to The Run!

Todays weather was absolutely great! Blue sky, sunny, no wind and about 72-73F. Finished work at 13:00 just to go home and change car for the trip down to Uppsala and then Stockholm Marathon on Saturday. After 6 hours in a car it was nice to change for a run with Ingrid. We ran 5,41 miles in 53:41 min (9:57 min/mile) which is a marathon in about 4:20 hours. Well, the time is not priority! Reach the finish line is!
Me and Ingrid after our run in Uppsala together!
Well, night here now and perhaps I must go to bed. Tomorrow I will help my other daughter to move from one apartment to another. Then we will go to Stockholm to get our BIB:s etc for the run Saturday.
Long day for a long-distance runner tomorrow! Will be so much fun though! :-)

Lot of people down here in the south to sa Hello and Smile to when running! ;-)

51 days left...

... and I'm packing my trunk for Stockholm Marathon and a great run with my daughter Ingrid.

Well, she is not the only runner in the family though. My other daughter, Julia, also did a run today called Vårruset, or in english Spring-Run. She ran 5K. Great done Julia! (Proud dad!)

Julia after her 5K race the Spring-Run today.
GREAT DONE!
Ingrid after a run!
June 1st she will run Stockholm Marathon.

Today I also finished almost all work for this term and fixed the last math-tests :-) Summer is coming closer and so do The Run! Well, I feel just great so I'm not at all worried anymore which's a nice feeling :-)

No, now I have to go packing the very last things for tomorrows trip to Stockholm and the great event Stockholm Marathon :-)

Oh, yes! Forgot to show this little fellow me and Elton met when out on his "night-walk"!
A little hedgehog came for a late visit :-)
Well, no run today but I did say Hello to some colleagues and Smiled a lot during the day though :-)

52 days left...

... and soon time to go down to Stockholm again. Thursday evening I will go down to my my daughters in Uppsala which is going to be very nice. Friday we will go to Stockholm to fetch our BIB-numbers etc. for the Stockholm Marathon race at June 1st. It will be so fun!

But now about todays run with Elton. We ran 5,55 miles in about 1:06:41 (tracked here on Endomondo). All miles but one around 9:30-10:30 min. One mile we did in 18 min (!?) but that was perhaps the most inspiring mile because we met three men form Eritrea, Africa. They have sought asylum in Sweden and I stopped to talk to them. First they where a little afraid of Elton but then they really liked him and said he was soft and beautiful. Thank's friends from Eritrea! They also had som questions about Sweden and the swedes. Took about 10 min but I hope it was worth it. Both for them and for me!
It feels very good both physically and mentally. Just a so nice feeling I'll say!

On the way home we passed by a grave from about 400-500 AD. Here called Roman Iron Age. The weather this evening was just super!
Elton sitting by a grave from the time around Roman Iron Age.
The grave is called - The Virgin Hill...

As always, continue to Hello and Smile to people you meet out there. Meetings are so great! :-)
